Welcome to the homepage of Abbey United IFA and Abbey United Sundays.
Abbey United IFA are the supporters team of Cambridge United FC. Abbey United have been playing in the IFA League against fellow supporters sides for over 10 years.
A number of players wanted to play together more regularly, and therefore for the start of the 2010/11 season, and a new club, Abbey United Sundays were formed and joined the Cambridge and District Friendly Sunday League.
Despite now being two Abbey United sides, the ethic of the IFA league is maintained with the Abbey United IFA side being made up solely of supporters of Cambridge United FC.
Abbey United IFA are available for friendly and IFA league matches, both home and away, both to teams of The Internet Football Association or other supporters club sides. To arrange a match, please contact Richard French via email richardfrench@abbeyunited.co.uk
Abbey United Sundays include 12 players who play for Abbey United IFA in the squad of 22 players. The side had a succesful first season, finishing in 4th place in the CDFL Division 2, and reaching the Division 2 Cup Final, and are playing in Division 1 in 2011/12 following a league restructure.
